Hi there!
I’m Libby, founder and creator of Ove.
When I first started my period, I didn’t understand what was happening to my body. I wasn’t alone in that… Most girls I’ve spoken to say the same. I had so many
questions, and no idea where to ask them. The information I did get came too late, was awkward, or didn’t feel like it was meant for someone my age. It made me feel
confused, embarrassed, and like I had to figure it all out on my own.
Years later, I realised just how widespread this experience is – and how unnecessary that is.
Periods are a normal, healthy part of growing up, yet we don’t talk about them enough. We don’t prepare girls early enough. We don’t give them the tools to feel
informed and confident. That’s why I created Ove.
Ove is a completely free period app designed specifically for girls starting their periods. It’s simple, friendly, age-appropriate, and medically reviewed. From cycle
tracking to product guides and puberty questions – it’s all in one place. I’ve worked closely with medical experts, educators, and girls themselves to make sure the
content is genuinely helpful and empowering.
But Ove isn’t just an app. It’s a movement.
We now work with schools across the UK, offer printed resources, deliver talks, and run webinars for families. My mission is to ensure no girl has to feel alone, scared,
or ashamed when she gets her first period – or any period after that.
Because understanding your body shouldn’t feel like a mystery. It should feel like power.
Thanks for being part of the journey.
